The Quimper hospital (Finistère) was sentenced on November 18 by the Administrative Court of Appeal of Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) to pay an additional 4,750 euros to a patient, reveals

Côté Quimper

.

In 2011, then 36 years old, the man had undergone three chemotherapy, as well as an ablation of the bladder and the prostate, after a bad diagnosis of the medical profession, convinced that he was suffering from cancer of the bladder.

Now 47 years old, this mason notably faces erectile dysfunction resulting from these bad decisions.

He was unable to resume normal work.

183,213 euros in compensation in June 2020

On June 4, 2020, the Rennes administrative court ordered the hospital to pay him 183,213 euros, as well as 60,398 euros to the Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM).

The overall compensation for the victim now amounts to 187,963 euros.

As our colleagues from

Ouest-France

remind us on  Monday, the Nancy University Hospital concluded in October 2014 that the pathology from which the patient initially suffered was in fact benign.
