When the current club manager Fredrik Danielsson ends his employment in the spring, the club has in January sought a successor.
The search is now over and on Wednesday the new addition to the club management was presented: Ola Söderdahl.
- When I got this chance, I did not hesitate for many seconds.
I have a long relationship with Mjällby and have always been a supporter.
So it feels fantastic, it's an honor, he says.
Comes most recently from the hospitality industry
Ola Söderdahl has previously worked with the hospitality industry in Blekinge, where he most recently was CEO of Visit Blekinge.
Now he is Mjällby's future club manager and will take on the new role sometime in May.
He already has big visions of where he can take the club, among other things by protecting all the association's volunteers.
- If you look at association life today, volunteers are in short supply today and there is also a generational change in it, which I think is very important that we take care of.
"Believe in him so hard"
The club's chairman Magnus Emeus is now looking forward to the cooperation in the club management and believes that Ola Söderdahl is perfect for the assignment.
- We chose to go out broadly with our application and it was a great interest with many good candidates.
We landed on Ola and believe in him.
He has the profile we were looking for;
a good leader with experience in events, sales and revenue.
And not least, he grew up with what Mjällby stands for, says Magnus Emeus.
