A dozen water rescuers from the fire brigade intervened on Monday afternoon to recover a body floating near the shore, in Saint-Brévin-les-Pins (Loire-Atlantique).

The macabre discovery was made around 3:30 p.m. on the beach facing Boulevard Padioleau, firefighters report.

“It is an unidentifiable female body”, specifies the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) of Loire-Atlantique.

, it was a walker who gave the alert.

Two people, whose bodies have not been found, recently threw themselves into the Loire, the newspaper said.
