“China will not be able to compensate for economic losses,” Psaki quotes during a TASS briefing.
She also commented on the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Beijing on February 4.
“I would say that the meeting they had a couple of weeks ago reflected the approach that these countries have chosen for some time now, it is about rapprochement,” Psaki said.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said that the meeting between Putin and Xi Jinping in Beijing was warm, constructive and allied.
During the summit of the leaders of Russia and China, 16 documents were signed.
