" May's beginning.

This is now the horizon set for the opening to the public of Téléo, Toulouse's urban cable car.

While the site is at the finishing stage for the development and signage of the three stations, the “handover of the keys” to the infrastructure by its builder is scheduled for March 31.

The 15 cabins will then do a month of “dry run”.

For Jean-Michel Lattes, the president of Tisséo, the idea is to avoid a telescoping with the second round of the Presidential, on April 24.

Téléo, by far the longest urban cable car in France, presented as "a technological feat" by Jean-Luc Moudenc, the mayor of Toulouse, will make it possible to travel 3 km in ten minutes between the University Hospital of Rangueil and L'Oncopole, via the Paul-Sabatier University, while the car journey takes half an hour at peak times.

For the price of a metro or bus ticket, the cable car will fly over the Garonne and the natural obstacle formed by the hillsides of Pech-David.

According to Jean-Michel Lattes, one bicycle will be authorized per cabin.

While the five giant pylons and the trials are already attracting onlookers to the heights of Pech-David, the town hall does not rule out installing a guinguette with a view of Téléo at the top of the promontory.
