CIAO MAMMA.

Funny scene following the press conference of the Olympic downhill vice-champion, the whimsical Sofia Goggia.

After the interviews and a few selfies with the Italian press, punctuated by regular laughter from the audience, Goggia received the call from his mother live and by video, always surrounded by the media.

With great reinforcements of facial expressions, "ciao" and "basta", "SuperSofia" made the show again, for two hilarious minutes, without needing to understand the Italian.

ME WHEN... Two golds, three silvers and a social media meme.

Quentin Fillon Maillet showed his sense of self-mockery, tweeting on the night of Monday to Tuesday "Me when... Complete the sentence, make me laugh" with two hilarious smileys, accompanying his tweet with a video of about ten seconds where we see the biathlete getting excited on his rifle before the second shot of the chase.

A concern that did not make him lose his cool since he managed to bring down the five targets, despite dantesque conditions.

In ten hours, "QFM" which has nearly 35,000 people who follow it on Twitter, has received more than 800 responses, most often with a reference to a remote control blocked when changing channels.

WAITING.

Arrived at the start of the Games to carry the flag of the French delegation during the opening ceremony, freestyle skier Kevin Rolland is starting to find the time long before his entry into the running in the halfpipe qualifications on Thursday.

"Apart from supporting the friends, which is a great thing, we don't have much to do", confided the standard bearer of the Blues, who is probably living, at 32, his third and last Olympics.

The Sochi 2014 bronze medalist found the wait all the more painful before finally being able to put on his skis for the first halfpipe practices on Monday as the temperatures have been freezing since arriving at the Zhangjiakou mountain venue, where the freestyle events: "It was -25°C yesterday (Monday), it tingles. Once we don't

SHEEP.

From skiing through sheep droppings to the stakes in the men's Olympic slalom, Dave Ryding has come a long way to becoming one of the medal contenders at the Beijing Games on Wednesday.

The Briton had to wait until he was 21 to go from the grass of his dry training track in the North West of England to snow.

"There were no fences around it, it's on a hill and it's full of sheep," Ryding said of his Lancashire track.

"Sometimes they would run across while you were training and you had to wait for them."

A late stint on the snow did not prevent him from winning his country's first World Cup victory in Kitzbühel last month.

DOUBLE CONFRONTATION.

On Wednesday the ice hockey rink will host the Finland-Switzerland duel twice.

The first at 4:40 p.m. local) and the second in stride.

But this is not a back and forth confrontation.

It's just the luck of the men's and women's tournaments.

The men first compete for a place in the semi-finals before giving way to the women who will compete for the bronze medal.

Not sure that some have the opportunity to encourage others.
