A new fatal accident occurred Monday morning in the Alps.
A young 19-year-old skier died after a fall in the Tignes area (Savoie), we learned from mountain rescue and the mayor of the town.
The young man "exited the track", alone, resulting in a traumatic fall, said the emergency services who were alerted around 9:30 am Monday.
The young skier "lost his life following a heavy fall in the Tovière sector", said the mayor of Tignes Serge Revial in a press release.
