Mobile payment doubled in 2021

Online shopping, purchase of video games and others… Young people have a much more digitized consumption than that of their parents.

"They make 24% of their purchases online, against 13% for adults", according to the author of the study.

Young Ile-de-France residents, however, have a relatively low use of online payment, compared to other regions.

On the other hand, they are those who withdraw the least cash.

“It is surely linked to the fact that the big cities accept payment cards more easily, explains Caroline Ménager.

They hardly need cash anymore.
