Speaker of the Rada Stefanchuk commented on the planned discussion in the State Duma on the LPR and DPR

According to Stefanchuk, in accordance with the UN decision, the DPR and LPR are part of the territory of Ukraine. 

“As for voting in the State Duma, this is not the first and not the last decision that may be, which will cause misunderstanding of the whole world,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

The speaker of the Rada also said that the Ukrainian parliament is preparing a resolution "which will once again confirm the belonging of the territories of the so-called LPR and DPR to a constituent part of Ukraine."

Earlier it was reported that a draft resolution on consultations with the Russian Foreign Ministry on the recognition of the LPR and the DPR was submitted to the State Duma.

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that the Council of the State Duma on February 14 will discuss whether to consider at a meeting of the chamber a draft appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin on recognizing the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics or send the document to the Foreign Ministry for feedback.
