"No sadism"

The accused faces life imprisonment, with a verdict expected on Friday.

Monday and Tuesday are devoted to the hearing of expert psychologists and psychiatrists.

According to clinical psychologist Magali Ravit, his personality works "in facets", is "not homogeneous and reacts in an almighty mode when he feels in a situation of vulnerability".

His emotional life is "organized with a buoy of women. He is not a collector, but always has a second around him just in case. Always the idea that he is threatened by loss", notes- she.

Returning to the episode of the blows to Maëlys, during which Nordahl Lelandais declared having seen in "hallucination" the face of Corporal Arthur Noyer whom he had killed a few months earlier, the expert considers that he "is in a another reality at that time, while being fully aware".

"This dissociation is perhaps organized by a traumatic scene. The blows on Maëlys come to erase the anguish in which he is immersed. There is no sadism", she underlines.

"How to see the face of a man who has been killed in front of that of a 9-year-old girl? It seems very surprising. For my part, I do not believe it", reacted shortly after Me Yves Crespin, lawyer for two children's aid associations.

For him, "we are in front of a very atypical personality".

It is "not certain that in the end, and after all these expertises, we will not know much more about the functioning of Nordahl Lelandais".
