Headquarters live report丨The Chinese naval fleet carrying relief supplies arrives in Tonga

  On February 15, local time, the Chinese naval fleet responsible for delivering relief supplies to Tonga arrived in Nuku'alofa, the capital of Tonga.

  The maritime transport formation for this mission is composed of the naval amphibious dock landing ship Wuzhishan and the comprehensive supply ship Chaganhu in the Southern Theater Command. It departed from a port in Guangzhou on January 31.

This batch of disaster relief materials delivered a total of more than 1,400 tons, mainly including mobile prefab houses, tractors, generators, pumps, water purifiers, emergency food, medical and epidemic prevention equipment and other materials.

All materials have been sterilized and sampled for several times before being loaded.

  At present, the new crown pneumonia epidemic has occurred in Tonga. As a formation command ship, the Wuzhishan ship is also equipped with professional medical and health personnel and equipment, and has epidemic prevention and control and medical treatment capabilities.

The formation will also provide assistance within its capacity according to the follow-up request of the Tongan side.
