“The Mission will continue to fulfill the mandate approved by the OSCE with observers deployed in ten cities throughout Ukraine,” the organization’s official statement reads.

Earlier, Reuters, citing eyewitnesses, reported that American representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Donbass began to leave Donetsk in cars.

The representative office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire stated that even if representatives of other countries leave the Donetsk SMM office, the work of the mission will not stop.

OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid assured that the mission will continue to fulfill its mandate in Ukraine without interruption.
