The head of the diplomatic mission noted that diplomats regularly monitor the situation in Ukraine.
“At this stage, we do not give a general recommendation to the French living in Ukraine to leave the country,” the ambassador’s statement reads.
At the same time, he advised the French to monitor the state of personal documents, as well as to prepare some supply of water, food and warm clothing "for practical purposes."
Earlier, a number of EU countries called on their citizens to leave Ukraine.
For example, the relevant recommendations were given by the authorities of Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Finland.
