According to Shkhagoshev, in this way, the EU states, which have not really accepted Russia's proposals on security guarantees, intend to return to dialogue through the mediation of Ukraine.

“Now, given the persistence on the part of Russia, these countries have understood the seriousness of our intentions to ensure global security, and that Russia will not back down,” the deputy emphasized.

He also noted that the OSCE is looking for a reason to return to the conversation and issue some more substantial response to Russian requests.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine was asking for a meeting with Russia and all states parties to the Vienna Document on Confidence and Security Building Measures within 48 hours.
