China Overseas Chinese Network, February 13. According to the WeChat public account of the Chinese Embassy in Papua New Guinea, recently, the Papua New Guinea government announced that it will adjust some of the new crown pneumonia epidemic prevention and control measures, effective from February 16.

The main adjustments are as follows:

  1. Passengers entering PNG must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, except for PNG citizens and passengers under the age of 18.

The types of vaccines approved by PNG include Sinopharm, Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, etc.

Complete vaccination refers to the number of vaccinations required to complete the corresponding vaccine within 6 months before entry. If the normal vaccination is completed for more than 6 months, a booster shot is required.

  2. Passengers entering PNG must present the following documents at check-in: 1. A negative nucleic acid test (PCR) certificate within 72 hours before boarding.

2. Electronic health code (enter the relevant website to fill in).

3. Proof of vaccination.

Children under the age of 5 are exempt from testing.

  3. Inbound passengers must undergo rapid testing at the airport upon arrival, and those with positive results must undergo nucleic acid testing.

Those with positive nucleic acid test results must be isolated and treated in accordance with relevant regulations.

The cost of express inspection (350 Kina) and other expenses are all at your own expense.

Children under the age of 5 are exempt from testing.

  4. Those who have had a positive nucleic acid test experience within 3 months before entering PNG must provide a non-infectious certificate issued by a qualified medical institution in the place of origin.
