“As a result of the current difficult operational environment associated with Russia’s unjustified aggression against Ukraine, the Canadian Armed Forces are in the process of temporarily redeploying part of the Joint Task Force - Ukraine (JTF-U) to other countries in Europe,” the agency said in a statement.

At the same time, it is noted that these measures do not mean the end of the Canadian mission in Ukraine, but are aimed at "reorienting efforts" and supporting the security of military personnel.

The number of redeployed soldiers and their whereabouts are not reported.

Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly previously announced the suspension of the work of the Canadian embassy in Kiev.
