At the end of the 180.5 kilometers which separated Arles from Manosque (Alpes de Haute-Provence), on a course which crossed the Alpilles and the hills dear to Jean Giono, Coquard was ahead of the champion of the French world Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step) and the Italian Filippo Ganna (Ineos).
On the eve of the last stage which will take the peloton to the Montagne de Lure, Ganna retains the leader's Mondrian black jersey ahead of Alaphilippe for two seconds.
