Mohamed bin Zayed receives a written message from the President of the Philippines, which was received by Abdullah bin Zayed

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received a written message from Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines, regarding bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them in all fields.

The message was received by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, when he was received at the headquarters of Expo 2020 Dubai, Robert E. Bourget, the Special Envoy of the President of the Philippines.

His Highness also handed His Excellency a written message from His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to Rodrigo Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines, also related to bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Robert E. Bourget discussed during the meeting the relations of joint cooperation between the UAE and the Republic of the Philippines, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.

The two sides reviewed the participation of the friendly Republic of the Philippines in Expo 2020 Dubai and the role of this prominent global event in enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries in a number of important fields such as industry and trade.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Robert E. Bourget's visit, stressing the distinguished bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of the Philippines and keenness to strengthen them and develop cooperation in various fields to achieve the mutual interests of the two countries and bring good to their peoples.

For his part, Robert E. Bourget praised the impressive organization of Expo 2020 Dubai, which witnesses the wide participation of about 192 countries, which contributes to providing an important global platform to create promising opportunities for cooperation and partnership between countries, pointing out that his country participates for the first time with an independent pavilion in the World Expo events since the beginning of its participation before contracts.

He also expressed his country's aspiration to enhance joint cooperation with the UAE in all fields, praising the leading position that the UAE enjoys at the regional and global levels.


The meeting was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai.
