China News Agency, Washington, February 11 (Reporter Sha Hanting) US Secretary of State Blinken said in Melbourne, Australia on the 11th local time that Russia is increasing its troops to the Russian-Ukrainian border and may "invade" Ukraine at any time.

According to U.S. media reports, Blinken, who was visiting Australia, said at a press conference on the same day that the U.S. side is now seeing "disturbing signals" that Russia is sending more troops to the Russian-Ukrainian border.

"The current situation is that Russia could invade Ukraine at any time, including possibly during the Olympics."

Blinken also said the U.S. was evacuating some U.S. embassy personnel in Ukraine.

He also called on U.S. citizens still in Ukraine to leave immediately.

The U.S. State Department issued a travel advisory on the 10th that all U.S. citizens in Ukraine should leave immediately because of "the threat of military action from Russia."

If Russia "invades" Ukraine, the United States will not be able to evacuate its citizens in Ukraine.

In an interview with US media on the 10th, US President Biden also urged US citizens to leave Ukraine immediately, "the situation may quickly become crazy."

Recently, relations between Ukraine and Russia have deteriorated rapidly, with the two sides deploying a large number of military personnel and equipment in the border areas of the two countries.

The U.S., Ukraine and NATO say Russia is threatening to "invade" by gathering 100,000 troops near Ukraine's eastern border.

Russia denies it, emphasizing that NATO activities threaten Russia's border security, and Russia has the right to mobilize troops within its borders to defend its territory.

On the 2nd of this month, the U.S. Department of Defense announced that it would send 2,000 additional U.S. troops to Germany and Poland, and transfer about 1,000 U.S. troops stationed in Germany to Romania to deal with the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border.
