This is stated in the message of the Foreign Ministry on examples of publications of a large disinformation campaign by Western media, promoting the thesis of an allegedly impending Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“The position of Western officials in the context of a massive disinformation campaign against Russia deserves special mention,” the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Telegram channel reported.

It is noted that officials of foreign countries by any means avoid giving a proper assessment of the current situation, thereby essentially confirming their involvement in fake news.

“We can talk about the conspiracy of the authorities of Western countries and the media in order to escalate artificial tension around Ukraine through a massive and coordinated stuffing of false information in geopolitical interests,” the text of the message says.

It is clarified that this is largely done in order to divert attention from their own aggressive actions.

Earlier, Bloomberg, a foreign agency, announced a Russian “invasion” of Ukraine with an erroneous headline.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov spoke about the publication of Bloomberg about the beginning of Russia's "invasion" of Ukraine.
