The Egyptian "Coffee Vax" vaccine... 80% of the first phase of clinical trials completed

The head of the clinical trial team at the Egyptian National Research Institute, Dr. Osama Azmy, revealed that the institute will submit a request to the Egyptian Medicines Authority, to amend the conditions for accepting volunteers to undergo the Egyptian vaccine.

And Azmy said, via “Cairo 24” that the amendments will include accepting people who have received a vaccine against the Corona virus, and people who have been infected and recovered from the virus.

He added, "The old conditions for accepting volunteers to obtain the Egyptian vaccine, necessitated the presence of people who did not have the vaccination against Corona, as well as the presence of people who were not infected with the virus ... the difficulty of meeting these conditions at the present time in Egyptian citizens."

He added that the National Research Center will submit a request to the Egyptian Medicines Authority next Sunday to amend the conditions for the completion of clinical trials.

He explained that the Egyptian vaccine "Coffee Fax" is going through the first phase of clinical trials, and that 80% of this phase, which began 3 months ago, has been completed.

He pointed out that "in the second phase of the tests, 300 volunteers will be needed, during which the effectiveness of this vaccine on volunteers will be measured."
