In the spring of 2020, the French police managed to break into the encrypted communication service Encrochat and then gained unique access to mobile communication between criminals. Since then, police in Europe have cracked several similar communication tools and hundreds of criminals have been convicted.
Also in Sweden, the encryption leak has led to several crimes being brought to a legal conclusion with many convicts.
