For a functionally diverse person who wants to consume music and theater, the possibilities today are usually good.

But it is often more difficult to get on a stage if you are not walking.

There are both mental and physical obstacles in the environment for those who are in a wheelchair and want to get on stage.

Theater producers may have a hard time imagining a person in a wheelchair in a role where the wheelchair is irrelevant.

But it is also about purely practical problems.

- They probably have not thought about the fact that we exist, that someone should come via the stage entrance in a wheelchair, says Peter Larsson.

"Harder to get in than to read lines"

This week, Peter has participated in a seminar at the conference People and Culture about everyone's right to express themselves artistically.

- Sometimes you are more nervous that you should not enter the place, than that I should remember your lines.

Through the organization Sharemusic in Gränna, Peter has gotten in touch with the playwright Greta Sundberg, the film director Michaela Granit and the filmmaker Håkan Larsson.

Together they have produced a short film where Peter portrays his different path to music.

In the film, Peter also plays some scenes from Doctor Glass.
