Against the backdrop of incessant statements about the allegedly possible “aggression” of Russia against Ukraine, the US authorities, despite Moscow’s denials, continue to urge citizens of their country to leave Ukrainian territory.

On February 11, this statement was made by the head of the White House, Joe Biden, in an interview with NBC.

“American citizens should leave now,” he said.

“We are dealing with one of the largest armies in the world.

The situation is completely different, and events can quickly get out of control, ”Biden added, referring to the allegedly possible escalation in Ukraine due to the actions of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, according to him, under no scenario will the United States send troops to Ukraine: “If America and Russia start shooting at each other, we will get a world war.”

The American leader did not do without another reservation.

When asked about the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, Biden replied: “We would never and in no way unite Ukraine ... that is, I beg your pardon, Iraq ... Afghanistan.”

Biden: "And there is no way we were ever going to unite Ukraine...I mean excuse me Iraq...Afghanistan."

At the same time, the US State Department issued a warning regarding travel to Ukraine.

“In view of the increased threats associated with the possibility of military measures from Russia, as well as COVID-19, please refrain from traveling to Ukraine.

Those in Ukraine should leave the country now using commercial or private transport.

If you remain in Ukraine, be extra vigilant due to crime, civil unrest, and the possibility of hostilities if Russia takes military action.

In some areas, a situation of increased risk has developed, ”the message says.

Earlier, the US Embassy in Kiev made a recommendation and gave possible evacuation routes from Ukraine - through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova.

At the same time, on January 24, the website of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported that the United States, Great Britain, Australia and Germany notified Kiev of their intention to evacuate family members and part of the staff of their diplomatic missions or allow them to voluntarily leave Ukrainian territory.

"Hysterical Statements"

The information campaign will continue, since the task of the United States is to “pry Ukraine into conflict with Russia,” Vladimir Shapovalov, deputy director of the Institute of History and Politics of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, told RT.

According to him, the fact of active provocation of hostilities is becoming more and more obvious.

“Such hysterical statements by the United States that American citizens should immediately leave the territory of Ukraine are nothing more than an attempt to cause even more panic, destabilization and lead to the situation in Donbas getting out of control,” he said. he.

According to him, despite the public's fatigue from the Ukrainian topic, in the near future Western politicians will continue to escalate the situation.

“The Americans can take out their people as much as they want.

These are just scarecrows, a media campaign and the fact that they will again put pressure on Russia so that Russia makes the necessary decisions.

This has nothing to do with reality, ”said Vladimir Bruter, an expert at the International Institute for Humanitarian and Political Studies, in an interview with RT.

Moscow has no plans to invade anywhere.

French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about this, referring to the words of Vladimir Putin.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov drew attention to this information the day before during a press conference with British Foreign Minister Liz Truss.

Commenting on calls for Russia to “withdraw its troops” from the territory of Belarus after the completion of joint exercises, the head of the foreign ministry pointed out that the West is “playing a drama”, “even trying to make a tragedy out of it, although it looks more and more like a comedy.”

“Everyone knows perfectly well, it was stated that after the completion of the exercises, Russian troops always return to their territory.

I read in some Canadian media that the topic of Ukraine is "a crutch for the falling ratings of Western politicians."

Interesting metaphor," he said.

In turn, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing on February 9, noted that against the backdrop of statements from Washington and London that Russia allegedly “should” attack Ukraine, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov has repeatedly turned to the Western public with a request to "stop whipping up this hysteria."

She also called the statement that Moscow is hatching plans for full-fledged military operations to be absurd: “For us, the state of the world is priceless.

We are only concerned with preserving this world.”
