A shy support but full of symbolism.

Yolanda Díaz finally enters the campaign this Thursday, coldly and without the support of the Podemos apparatus, in the Valladolid municipality of

Castronuño,

with just over 800 inhabitants, where she will accompany the candidates of United We Can.

It will be the only visit to Castilla y León by the second vice-president of the Government, the only great leader of the national political space who was yet to disembark in the 13-F campaign and whose absence has been one of the main burdens that the party has had to face in the last weeks.

"We are squaring the agendas", has been repeated during the campaign from the

purple

apparatus .

Finally, he will only attend a rally, in this town 60 kilometers from Valladolid governed by the United Left.

Despite the fact that from the training they relate this gap to the tight schedule that Díaz has had in recent weeks due to the negotiation with numerous political groups to achieve the validation of the labor reform in Congress, the lack of harmony between the

purple

brand and the vice president is remarkable.

Díaz, in fact, will avoid the end of the campaign this Friday.

We can prepare this event in style, which will be held in Valladolid.

Pablo Fernández will be accompanied by ministers from the

purple

branch in the Government -Irene Montero, Ione Belarra and Alberto Garzón-, as well as other prominent leaders of the United We Can universe, such as

Juan López de Uralde

, coordinator of Alianza Verde.

Again, the protagonist will be in absentia, Yolanda Díaz.

Diaz's 'moment'

However, Díaz's brief appearance in the campaign comes at a once again critical moment for the also Minister of Labor after the impact caused by the rebound approval of the labor reform, which only went ahead due to the mistaken vote of the PP deputy.

Alberto Casero

, which prevented Díaz from resigning, as she admitted to

La Sexta

hours after the validation.

Now, the vice president arrives in Castilla y León just a few hours after reaching an agreement with the unions to raise the minimum interprofessional salary (SMI) to 1,000 euros, an advance that, despite not having the support of employers, demonstrates, in Díaz's eyes, the "magnificent health" that social dialogue possesses.

With less than 48 hours to go until the end of the campaign, it can be concluded that the electoral proposal of United We Can in Castilla y León is notably far from the future political project that Díaz plans to lead, a reason that would also explain the limited and timid involvement of the leader of United We Can in the Government in the race towards 13-F.

A free space that, for his part, Pablo Iglesias has taken advantage of to recover the media spotlight and consolidate his new profile as an analyst.

The former Vice President of the Government has gone twice in recent days to Castilla y León to accompany the candidates, in modest acts and without a visible effect on the polls.

Podemos, since before the campaign, has remained in the range of between two and three deputies, with real possibilities only in León, Valladolid and Burgos.

The two Podemos projects

Despite the fact that Podemos and Izquierda Unida concur for the first time together under the brand of United We Can, Pablo Fernández has specified in recent days that this is not the start of the broad front of the vice president.

"One thing is the project that we have for and for this land and another is that project that Yolanda is going to start in dialogue with the citizens," the United We Can candidate acknowledged to this newspaper.

With Díaz, the full number of

purple

ministers who have participated in the campaign in Castilla y León is completed.

Both Ione Belarra and Irene Montero or Alberto Garzón have visited at least two locations, both provincial capitals and small towns in the nine Castilian and Leonese provinces.

Also other important senior positions of United We Can, such as

Enrique Santiago

, Secretary of State for the 2030 Agenda and leader of the PCE, or Pablo Echenique, parliamentary spokesman for United We Can.

Diaz's visit, despite reaching the end of the campaign and only in one municipality, however, is an "important boost" for the party, says the candidate for the Board.
