When the prize was established two years ago, the idea was to follow the same process with nominations and juries that take place regionally and nationally for the Grand Tourism Prize.

In 2020, however, the municipality chose to build lighting installations on Picassoudden to pay tribute to an entire industry, and not for 2021 will it be an individual entrepreneur who pays tribute in the municipality - but everyone.

This through a shining, red heart in Stadsparken that is intended to be a motive for various digital love greetings for a month.

Plans for 2022

For 2022, however, it is intended that the tourism prize will be awarded to a player in the hospitality industry as it was originally intended.
