The “Coalition”: the destruction of a march launched towards Abha International Airport

The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced today, Thursday, that the Saudi defenses destroyed a march launched towards Abha International Airport.

He pointed out that the interception of the drone fell in the vicinity of the airport.

The coalition reported 12 minor civilian injuries to workers and travelers of different nationalities at Abha Airport.

Later, the coalition announced the smooth return of air traffic at the airport, after the usual safety procedures.

In a statement, the coalition confirmed that it would take "firm operational measures in response to threats against civilian airports and travelers," stressing that the Houthi militias chose to blatantly escalate targeting civilian airports and civilians, noting that "the Houthi militias deliberately target civilian airports, an instigation that cannot be condoned and requires deterrence."

The spokesman for the coalition forces, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, said that "the Saudi air defenses managed today, Thursday, to thwart an attempt to cross-border hostile action by using a booby-trapped drone launched by the terrorist Houthi militia in a systematic and deliberate way to target civilians traveling and working at Abha International Airport."

Brigadier Al-Maliki explained that as a result of the interception process, some shrapnel of the drone was scattered after its interception inside the inner perimeter of the airport, and 12 minor injuries to civilians, citizens and residents of different nationalities.
