She said this during negotiations with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“I informed Prime Minister Shmyhal that Stinger anti-aircraft missiles from Lithuania will arrive in Ukraine in the coming days,” RIA Novosti quotes Shimonyte.
At the same time, she expressed the hope that Ukraine would not have to use these MANPADS.
Earlier, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense announced that the Lithuanian and Latvian sides intend to transfer the American Stinger man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems to the Ukrainian army.
