Amendments to the Law on sanctions against Russia have already entered into force, TASS reports.

It is noted that earlier London could impose restrictive measures only against those who are assumed to be directly involved in the "destabilization" of the situation in Ukraine.

Now the British authorities can impose sanctions on companies in Crimea that changed jurisdiction after 2014, thereby violating Ukrainian law.

In addition, individuals who work or support the Russian government are at risk of being included in the sanctions list.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow's response to possible London sanctions would be tough and measured.
