This Wednesday at midday, a woman was taken care of by the emergency services after being swept away by an avalanche above Tignes-les-Brévières (Savoie).
A snowslide occurred just after the passage of this cross-country skier, who was evolving with her companion, reports

Carried away by the avalanche, the victim injured his ankle.
Unable to get up, she alerted the rescuers of the Modane high mountain gendarmerie platoon.
The latter went to the scene with a doctor from Smur.
The skier was airlifted to Tignes where an ambulance was waiting for her.
Two dead at the start of the week in Savoie
Two days earlier, two Dutchmen aged 20 and 21 had died in an avalanche, still in Savoie, in an off-piste sector of the Saint-Colomban-des-Villards resort.
The two young skiers were reportedly swept away by a snowslide over 250 meters.
