The government's "Basic Coping Policy Subcommittee", which is made up of experts on infectious diseases, is held from around 9 am.
Among them, the Minister in Charge of Japan's new corona measures will extend the priority measures such as prevention of spread in 13 prefectures such as Tokyo, which is due on 13th of this month, for 3 weeks until 6th of next month, and will also newly extend to Kochi prefecture from 12th of this month. We consulted on the policy of applying priority measures until the 6th of next month.
If consent is obtained, the government will make a formal decision at the response headquarters, which will open on the night of the 10th, after prior reporting to the Diet and questions.
This will expand the coverage of priority measures to 36 prefectures.
