As in other French health establishments, the situation remains very tense in the emergency room of the Nantes University Hospital.

Three months after having first alerted to its difficulties, the hospital reminds the population, this Wednesday, "the need to adopt good practices for a fair use of emergency services".

The management again asks the inhabitants in particular to present themselves there “only in the event of a serious situation”.

It is recommended to “give preference to city medicine and the SOS Médecins Nantes and Saint-Nazaire associations”.

This past week, the average length of stay for a medical consultation reached “13 hours”, and “9 hours for trauma care”, “i.e. 3 hours more than in 2019 at the same period”.

Between 120 and 130 people are simultaneously at the reception of the hospital, where the white plan has been activated due to the epidemic situation linked to Covid-19.
