  It turned out that there was an "egg shortage" in Taiwan before the Spring Festival!

The market price of eggs has risen by more than 50%!

  According to statistics, Taiwan's population is about 23 million, and each person eats about one egg per day.

With the current supply, about three or four million people have "no eggs to eat" every day.

  Who is to blame?

  Some analysts believe that there are three main reasons for Taiwan's "egg shortage":

  First, avian influenza has occurred in Taiwan before, resulting in damage to farmed chickens;

  Second, the recent rapid changes in temperature in Taiwan have led to an increase in chicken mortality, a decline in egg production, and a lack of egg supply;

  Third, due to the epidemic in Taiwan in the middle of last year, the demand for eggs fell, and the cost of feed rose during the same period.

  Previously, the DPP authorities issued a "freezing increase order" to suppress egg prices with all their strength, which made egg farmers who faced a sharp rise in feed prices lost their motivation to increase egg production, and also caused egg supply and demand to "chaos" years ago.

All the eggs on the shelves of a major supermarket in Taipei were robbed.

  Some people left messages on social media, pointing out that the DPP authorities were "busy looking for a 'successor', busy with 'elections', and 'taking care of official positions', and the egg-sized matter is a 'trivial matter'!".

  Zhao Shaokang, a senior media person in Taiwan, criticized the DPP authorities. The "Agricultural Committee" can't even solve the problem of eggs. It's really a bastard.

  Chen Yuzhen, secretary-general of the Kuomintang party group, satirized that the past year started from a lack of vaccines, lacked electricity in the middle of the year, lacked eggs at the end of the year, and lacked everything.

  When it comes to eating eggs, in 2011, in a variety show broadcast in Taiwan, a guest said when talking about tea eggs, that the income of mainland people is very low, and they can't afford it at all.

  Later, this episode of the program was hotly debated after being "Fried with Cold Rice". The word "tea egg" occupied the top spot on Weibo's hot search terms list for many days, and related funny pictures and jokes emerged one after another, and mainland netizens posted their own food. "Show off wealth" photos of tea eggs, tea eggs become "luxury goods" and "artifacts to show off wealth".

  Therefore, under the recent reports about the "egg shortage" in Taiwan, some netizens left a message and shouted, "Wanwan go home for the Chinese New Year."

  Some netizens said, "What should I do, I want to send tea eggs to Taiwan compatriots!"
