Regarding medical fees paid to medical institutions, Chuikyo = Central Social Insurance Medical Council has submitted a revised proposal from April.

In addition to infertility treatments such as "artificial insemination" and "in vitro fertilization", public insurance will be applied to online medical treatment from the first medical examination, which has been permitted as a special case.

The medical fees paid to medical institutions will increase by 0.43% from the "main body" part, which is the labor cost and technical fee of doctors, from the new year and the 4th year of Reiwa, while the "drug price" part, which is the price of medicines and the material cost of medical equipment, will be increased. It is supposed to be reduced by 1.37%.

Based on this, the Chuikyo = Central Social Insurance Medical Council, at the general meeting held on the 9th,

compiled revisions to medical practices covered by public insurance and prices for each medical practice, and Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Goto. I made a report to the address.

In the revised proposal, for fertilization treatment that is not currently covered by public insurance except for some cases,

"artificial fertilization" in which sperm are injected into the womb at a time when sperm are likely to become pregnant, and "in vitro fertilization" in which sperm and eggs are collected and fertilized. In addition, "microinsemination", in which sperm is injected into an egg using an injection needle, etc., is newly applied.

On the other hand, "in vitro fertilization" and "intracytoplasmic sperm injection" require that the female age is less than 43 years old at the time of starting treatment.

In addition, due to the spread of the new corona infection, the online medical treatment from the first medical examination, which has been specially recognized so far, is basically performed by the "family doctor", and it is made permanent on the premise of combination with face-to-face medical treatment, and online. The initial consultation fee is set at 2510 yen, which is 370 yen lower than face-to-face.

The new medical fees will be implemented from April this year.
