Per-Samuel Nisser (M) has been chairman of the municipal board in Karlstad since the 2010 election. A period that extends three terms, almost 12 years, which is the longest time anyone has been chairman of the municipal board in Karlstad municipality, in modern times.
- It has been a fantastic time where Karlstad has developed enormously.
The municipality's economy is at the top in the country and we have had a large population growth, record increase in new housing, and brought here more businesses and establishments that have created jobs, says Per-Samuel Nisser (M).
Prior to his assignment as chairman of the municipal board, Nisser worked as a member of parliament and with agriculture and forestry.
- It is the right time to hand over to someone else to take the political leadership role, a new voice simply.
I will continue my community involvement both in politics and possibly in other activities, but not in the role of chairman of the municipal board.
