Jennifer Morgan will join the Foreign Office on March 1 as Commissioner for International Climate Policy at the German Foreign Office and as Secretary of State Designate.

To take the post of State Secretary of the German Foreign Ministry, Morgan will have to obtain German citizenship, the agency clarifies.

Morgan is expected to represent Germany at international climate events.
