January was the deadliest month in Yemen since the war between the Yemeni government forces, backed by a broad military alliance led by Saudi Arabia, and the Huthi rebels broke out.

Just a few hours before SVT's reporting team arrived at the front line northwest of Marib, the Huthi rebels attacked the government forces' postings.

More people were killed and injured.

- This is what the war's losses and consequences look like, says Colonel Ahmed al-Ashwal to SVT.

The hospital in the city of Marib has never before received so many injured soldiers and civilians as now.

A missile from the Huthi rebels landed in the middle of a residential area in Marib a few days ago.

Five people though.

Nine-year-old Motahaddi Amin was seriously injured in one leg.

- I was with my mother on the roof.

When I got to the roof, I heard bullets.

When I was about to go down the stairs, the missile hit.

And I was injured by shrapnel, he says.
