The process must have been initiated by a decision of the party board and is based on the party's statutes that a member can harm the party if he is elected to office or is running for another party.

According to Karin Tennemar, the party has informed Gudrun Schyman, who today works as a municipal politician in Simrishamn.

She was the party leader in the years 2005–2011 and 2013–2019.

According to Tennemar, it is not yet clear what the exclusion case will lead to.

- Of course, there is nothing we think is fun or want to do.

But Gudrun Schyman can neither be nor should be treated better or worse than any other member, she says.

- I wish Gudrun had channeled her commitment to climate issues within Fi.

SVT Nyheter is looking for Gudrun Schyman.

The Climate Alliance is an organization with a focus on the climate issue and which has recently expressed a desire to be reshaped as a political party with a view to the Riksdag.

Gudrun Schyman sits on the organization's board and told Ekot in January that no current party takes the climate issue seriously enough.
