Life is going to be easier, that's good!

“For Joakim, manager of a gym in Stockholm, this lifting of restrictions means first of all the end of the gauges: “

We had to make sure not to exceed a limit of 10 square meters per person.

So we removed some of our equipment, and in our large gymnasium, where we usually receive 100 people, there were only 40

 left, ”he says.

To fight the pandemic, Sweden has never used confinement, nor advocated the wearing of masks, but it has endeavored to limit gatherings.

From now on, there will therefore no longer be a gauge either in gymnasiums, or in restaurants, or in bars, museums or even shops.

The vaccination pass, which was compulsory for a few weeks in places hosting more than 50 people, is also removed.

It is therefore a return to normal life for the Swedes, and also the time to take stock of the epidemic.

With 16,000 deaths for 10 million inhabitants, Sweden is in the average of other European countries.

On the other hand, the comparison with the Nordic neighbours, where the economic and social conditions are similar, is less flattering.

This same mortality rate is in fact two and a half times lower in Denmark, and even six times lower in Norway.
