A miner throws himself into the Paillon river in Nice to flee the police

Sunday evening, the municipal police of Nice surprised two individuals in the middle of a drug transaction, near Pont Michel, east of the city.

To avoid being arrested, one of them jumped into the Paillon river and injured himself.

According to information from

, this minor was taken care of by the firefighters once at the Auvare police station.

He was later returned to his parents, without any serious injuries.

According to the local daily, the second individual had on him 25 g of cocaine and 250 g of cannabis.

He was released after several hours in police custody.

A preliminary investigation by the national police is still ongoing.
