A big meeting for Eric Zemmour at the Grand Palais in Lille, a "presidential convention" for Marine Le Pen at the Parc des Expositions in Reims.

Saturday was the scene of the first remote confrontation between the two candidates, in a context of very strong tensions.

And they both scored points.

It was the duel of the weekend: Eric Zemmour in a meeting in Lille in front of 7,000 sympathizers, Marine Le Pen in Reims against 4,000 activists.

Two rooms two atmospheres for the candidates of the national right in the presidential election, while the gap is narrowing and the stakes are multiple on both sides.

The Reconquest candidate made a show of force by rallying en masse, when Marine Le Pen instead played the confession card.

Zemmour and Le Pen tied in the polls

Saturday, Eric Zemmour openly went hunting on the lands of the RN candidate.

He held a strong speech on the purchasing power, chained shock proposals, including a totally tax-free annual premium.

In Lille, in the North, heart of the electorate of the National Rally, at the same time Marine Le Pen, she targeted Emmanuel Macron in his speech in Reims.

Before completely splitting the armor: at the end of her speech, she left her desk, walked towards the room to indulge herself intimately.

She recounted her childhood, evoked the bomb attack which targeted the family home in 1976, her single parenthood, and ended with "I am ready".

In both camps, we expected a lot from this day.

On the side of Eric Zemmour, there is the victory of numbers.

But the real surprise comes from this almost open-hearted tirade by Marine Le Pen.

The RN candidate maintains her strategy of demonization against all odds.

Especially since the gap is now narrowing between the two candidates.

For the first time in weeks, they are tied in a poll, tied at 14%, behind Emmanuel Macron and Valérie Pécresse.
