Kuwait bans festive rallies after the African Nations Championship final

Kuwaiti security sources confirmed that the Ministry of Interior will not allow ceremonial rallies after the final match of the African Nations Cup, which brings together the Egyptian and Senegalese teams, this evening, Sunday, warning that deportation will be a punishment for those who violate public morals.

The sources said, to the newspaper, "Al-Qabas" on its website today, that "the field security sectors will be deployed at 9:00 p.m., an hour before the start of the match, in the areas where the Egyptian community gathers, such as Al-Farwaniyah, Khaitan, Hawalli and Salmiya, to impose security and control traffic."

Those areas witnessed gatherings and celebrations for the Egyptian community last Thursday after their country's victory over Cameroon in the African Cup of Nations semi-final match.

The sources stressed that the instructions issued to the security men are clear and explicit, and stipulate the need to take all legal measures taken towards any person in the event that he violates the law by participating in festive marches following sports matches that lead to obstruction of traffic or carrying out actions that violate public morals or It causes a traffic jam.

The sources pointed out that the Traffic Law stipulates that vehicles may not participate in private processions or gatherings except in accordance with the established legal provisions and with the permission of the General Traffic Department, and this is not allowed if it leads to disturbing comfort, especially at night.

The sources called on citizens and residents to cooperate with the Ministry of the Interior, as always entrusted them to carry out the duties entrusted to it in order to protect lives and property.
