“The German government has long — and in previous legislative periods — adhered to a clear position according to which we do not supply weapons to crisis regions in order to further aggravate the situation there,” Lambrecht quoted TASS as saying.

According to her, in the event of a conflict in Ukraine, Germany has partners at the negotiating table.

She noted that at the moment the goal is de-escalation.

Earlier, the chairman of the Bundestag Defense Committee, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, in an interview with the DPA agency, called on Ukraine to be moderate in its rhetoric against Germany, especially when it comes to the supply of aid from Germany.
