Rabat-

Between the joy of removing the child Rayan from the bottom of the well in a difficult and complex rescue operation that lasted for several days, and the official announcement of his death, Moroccans and millions of Arabs were stunned, shocked and disbelief.

The last moments of his release on Saturday evening were difficult, as the eyes of millions of Arab viewers around the world were drawn to the screens during 4 days of continuous efforts and careful and slow drilling, to reach him in the well into which he fell at a depth of 32 meters and a diameter of about 45 centimeters.

Surrounded by the chanting of thousands of citizens arriving in the mountain village of Arghan on the outskirts of Chefchaouen in northern Morocco, rescuers came out carrying the child very quickly, spreading joy that lasted for minutes before turning into a funeral when a message from the Royal Court mourned the death of the child Rayan.

At ten o'clock in the morning, the Maghreb Arab News Agency published a statement from the royal court, which said, "Following the tragic accident that claimed the life of the child Rayan Oram, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, made a phone call to Mr. Khaled Oram and Mrs. Wassima Kharchich My late father, who passed away after falling into a well.

blackout and grow

And the last moments of removing the child Rayan from the bottom of the well knew a great blackout that left the field open for the spread of rumors and conflicting accounts about his health, before the statement of the royal court came out minutes after the child was taken out to officially announce his death.

Moroccan journalist Hamza Al-Wahhabi suggested that the authorities had known of his death before reaching him and removing him from the well.

He explained to Al-Jazeera Net that a number of indicators prove this, including the fact that those responsible for the operation stopped sending video clips to journalists showing the child and his condition since Friday, as they had done in the previous days, and that they refused throughout Saturday to provide a definitive and clear answer about the child's health condition and what If he is alive, the answer to journalists' urgent questions was vague, "Hopefully, he's alive."

It is believed that the authorities waited to finish the excavation and get the child out to officially announce his death, in order to avoid chaos in the village, which was teeming with thousands of citizens who came from various cities to follow up the rescue efforts.

Hamza said that the process of removing the child was negligent and delayed at first, due to the local officials' failure to appreciate the seriousness of the situation, and serious moves did not begin until a day after Rayan fell into the well, and the work continued day and night without stopping and took a professional character.

Hamza - who is director of the publication of the Chemali newspaper, a regional website in northern Morocco - stressed the need to fundamentally address the causes of the accident, which are the phenomenon of "sounds" or artesian wells and the problem of supplying those rural areas with water and electricity and paving roads, calling in this regard to launch a major development program in the region. Chefchaouen includes all the mountain villages.

tears and obituaries

Moroccan Bouchra El Makkawi describes the news of the death of the child Rayan as a tragedy, for days she has been following on television from her home the efforts to save him, while her eldest son has been following developments in the café with his friends.

“I had hope that they would get him out alive, but unfortunately that did not happen,” Bushra tells Al Jazeera Net, adding, “I and my young son who was next to me felt overjoyed, but suddenly we were shocked by the news of his death when the official television announced it, my tears overcame me, as for my son, he stopped speaking and closed He has the door to his room.

While 17-year-old Somaya Al-Faqihi told Al-Jazeera Net, "After days of waiting, we were finally happy with the news of the release of the child Rayan, but our joy did not last, and the news of his death surprised us."

Somaya explains that the news came down on her heart and on the hearts of Moroccans, Arab peoples and others like a thunderbolt.

And social networking sites have turned into an open house of mourning, in which pioneers from various Arab countries exchange condolences, after the death of a child whose tragic story brought them together and hoped that he would come out of the well safe and sound.

Child Rayan mourned princes, presidents, ministers, artists, intellectuals, adults and children in their posts and tweets.

Mohamed Karim Boukhasas, a researcher in media issues, explains this great interaction with this unique story, saying, "In addition to the human dimension in the case of the child Rayan, being a child no more than 5 years old and stuck in a narrow well, the rapid interaction of Moroccans with the event and their intense participation of his story on the communication sites The social interaction was behind the sweeping interaction locally, Arab and international.

He pointed out that the heroic rescue operation, which lasted for 5 continuous days, became in itself an inspiring and interactive story, and, according to him, Rayan's steadfastness contributed to giving a greater dimension to the national epic whose slogan is "Rescuing Ryan."

He added that the presence of hope in this child's story and the Arab world's search for an inspiring story that would have a happy ending amid disappointments fueled interest and follow-up.

arabic pain

On social media, thousands of Arabs expressed their shock and sadness at Rayan's death, and offered condolences to his family and the Moroccan people.

Rayan suffered at the bottom of a pit in the isolated mountain village of Ajran on the outskirts of Chefchaouen, Morocco. Millions of Arab peoples in different countries called out to his pain.

They imitated his feeling while he was inside a well held for days away from the bosom of his mother, his brothers and his cohorts, and imitated the feeling of his parents as they lacked the pleasure of their liver after the earth swallowed him, and they prayed for him in mosques during their collective prayers, and exchanged condolences after his death as if he were their son all.

Rayan, may God have mercy on him, died after uniting the Arab world and bringing it together for days on a humanitarian cause far from any ideological struggle or political differences.

When the story of the child #Rayan began, the owner of the same name remembered the child Rayan Al-Amyan, who was killed by the regime's sniper in Daraa at the age of 3 (8-7-2012), both of them are smiling in the picture, and both of them died, perhaps our world was not fit for this smile, and from Daraa to Chefchaouen is suffocating us and hope is tragic, and God's mercy is greater than our hopes pic.twitter.com/0GiDKspXzt
