This Saturday morning, the circumstances of the accident remain unclear.
Friday evening around 8 p.m., on the A7 towards Lyon, a vehicle was found "pulverized" by the emergency services after a "very violent shock" in which a truck was also involved according to France Bleu Drôme.
While the truck driver was not injured, the driver of the car was ejected onto the tracks.
Despite their attempts for more than an hour, the firefighters were unable to resuscitate her.
Originally from the Nîmes region, the victim was 46 years old.
She was traveling with a 10-year-old child in her vehicle, which had to be extricated before being airlifted to a hospital in Lyon in a state of absolute emergency.
The accident occurred near exit 18 Montélimar Sud.
The highway was cut in the south/north direction for two hours to let the emergency services intervene.
