Ambassador Antonov answered a question about the possibility of breaking off relations between Russia and the United States

He noted that this issue is within the competence of the President of Russia.

At the same time, the ambassador stressed that the staff of the diplomatic mission will work in the United States "until the last diplomat".

According to him, diplomats will do everything to defend national interests, but at the same time try to normalize relations between Moscow and Washington.

Antonov also said that he does not believe that the United States is ready to bring down all relations with Russia.

In addition, the Russian ambassador to the United States said that Moscow expects Washington to impose new anti-Russian sanctions.
