“There is an obvious selectivity in reading the mandate and a demonstration of extreme unprofessionalism, as well as frank political bias in assessing the situation,” TASS reports.

The Permanent Mission noted that the OSCE representative “preferred to pass over in silence the fact that the German authorities grossly violated the Organization’s fundamental principles of freedom of expression and access to information”, which was expressed in defiant disregard for the provisions of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television, to which Germany is a party.

“However, she immediately raised her voice to the forced retaliatory measures of the Russian side,” the permanent mission noted.

The diplomatic mission stated that they would draw serious conclusions in connection with such a comment by the OSCE representative.

Ribeiro had previously condemned Russia's retaliatory measures against DW and recommended that they be reconsidered.

At the same time, she did not react to pressure on RT DE in Germany.

On February 3, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced the first stage of retaliatory measures against the German media due to the situation with the ban on RT DE broadcasting.

In particular, the Deutsche Welle bureau in Russia will be closed, the accreditations of all employees of the Russian bureau of this television and radio company will be canceled, and its satellite and other broadcasting will be terminated.
