“On January 28 at 17:06 (02:06 Moscow time), a heavy crude oil pipeline ruptured in the Piedra Fina area, Napo province,” TASS reports.

The accident occurred as a result of rockfall caused by heavy rains.

As specified, the emergency section of the pipeline is outside the zone of direct contact with water sources.

On August 7, 2021, crude oil was released offshore in the Black Sea near Novorossiysk from the Greek tanker Minerva Symphony.
