“Ukraine has been in a frightening position in relation to the EU for eight years now, which treats Ukraine irresponsibly,” RIA Novosti quotes a statement by the Croatian leader.

In his opinion, the Ukrainians have received nothing from the EU, despite the fact that they were promised billions of euros.

Milanovich noted that “Ukraine is being bullied by the same bureaucrats from Brussels who bullied other states.

“The country, according to the EU, is in a very bad position, once they were developed, and now the GDP per capita is at the level of Kosovo.

Is this the success of European and Brussels politics?” he concluded.

Earlier, Croatian Prime Minister Andrei Plenkovic apologized to Ukrainians for the words of his country's President Zoran Milanovic about Ukraine's corruption.

As previously reported by the Croatian edition Dnevnik, Milanovic said that Ukraine has no place in NATO.

The Croatian President also warned that his country would withdraw its troops from NATO forces in Eastern Europe in the event of a conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
