British Defense and Foreign Ministers to visit Moscow soon

) instructed the ministers of foreign affairs and defense to gather in Moscow for talks with their colleagues in the coming days,” RIA Novosti reports a message.

It is specified that they are instructed to improve relations with the Russian government and promote de-escalation.

Earlier it became known that the British Foreign Office on January 31 intends to announce the upcoming new restrictions against Russia in connection with the situation around Ukraine.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the possibility of a visit by the British Foreign Minister to Moscow is being worked out, Russia has received a corresponding request.

Prior to this, the British Embassy in Moscow spoke about a possible visit to the Russian capital in February by British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss for talks with Lavrov.
